Driving Directions

From the Airport

• Leaving the airport, follow the main road and signs for Vancouver - this will take you north across the Arthur Laing Bridge.
• You will then be on Granville Street heading north.
• Stay on Granville for several kilometres until you reach 16th Avenue, where you turn left.
• You are now heading west.
• Stay on 16th for about a kilometre until you see Macdonald Street (just a bit past Choices Market on your right).
• Turn right (north) at Macdonald and proceed fourteen blocks to 2nd Avenue, where you turn right again.
• The Corkscrew Inn Bed and Breakfast is halfway up the block on your left hand side, at 2735 West 2nd.
  

From the East (Hwy 1)

• Take the Grandview exit from Highway 1 going west.
• Stay on this road going across town.
• It becomes 12th Avenue and after several kilometres, crosses Granville Street and then Arbutus and leads into Macdonald (just past the local high school) where you turn right.
• Follow Macdonald ten blocks north to 2nd Avenue where you turn right again.
• The Corkscrew Inn is half way up the block on your left hand side, at 2735 West 2nd.

From the South (I5 and Hwy 91 or Hwy 99)

• Highway 99 turns into Oak Street upon entering Vancouver (after the bridge).
• Stay on Oak Street going north.
• Turn left on on King Edward (25th) Avenue and follow it several kilometres west to Macdonald.
• Turn right (north) on Macdonald and drive 23 blocks to 2nd Avenue where you turn right again.
• The Corkscrew Inn is half way up the block on your left hand side, at 2735 West 2nd.

From the North (Whistler or Horseshoe Bay)

• From the North (Whistler or Horseshoe Bay) The Sea to Sky Highway (99) turns into Highway 1 or the Upper Levels Highway on the North Shore of English Bay.
• Take the Taylor Way exit south and stay on Taylor Way until the bottom of the hill where you will turn left onto Marine Drive.
• Stay in either of the two right hand lanes in order to turn right onto the Lion’s Gate Bridge.
• You will drive through scenic Stanley Park and emerge into downtown Vancouver on Georgia Street.
• Follow Georgia to Burrard and turn right.
• Follow Burrard south through downtown and over the Burrard Street Bridge.
• Stay in the far right lane on the bridge.
• This lane turns west onto Cornwall Avenue, running along Kitsilano Beach waterfront on your right.
• Cornwall becomes Point Grey Road and in just a few moments you encounter Macdonald Street, where you turn left.
• Go two blocks to 2nd Avenue and turn left again
• The Corkscrew Inn is half way up the block on your left hand side, at 2735 West 2nd.
